This is a journey to the origin of the earth. Glaciers under which volcanoes are lying in wait; boiling geysers, black beaches and seething sulphuric sludge - on Iceland elemental forces are at work. The documentary introduces the magical sites and shows how the locals cope with the untamed nature. It is life on a fiery island right at the polar circle.
