The River Lady of Rotterdam

Eva Noll leads an extraordinary life. She is the skipper of one of the smallest river boats in Europe; a job with an insecure future and an unpredictable workday. To find happiness in this restless life is not easy.

The film accompanies Ms Noll and her small crew on a trip via the French and Belgium canals to her home port Rotterdam. She has to deliver 260 tons of wheat to a mill. She will do so on time, as usual. The trip, however, becomes an adventure as Ms Noll and her boat face severe storms on Dutch sea inlets.
